Introduction
What is FRTE ?
FRTE is an independent MOD derived from SEF-FR, In the early days, CN SWAT4 CLUB was used for team match training and made simple modifications to SEF-FR. Later, a development team was founded by like-minded MOD enthusiasts to carry out significant rework, aiming to cater to SWAT4 enthusiasts in all levels.
The difference between FRTE and FR
In FRTE, you can carry a lower amount of ammunition, AI will be more uncertain and threatening, as well as adjustments to some equipment, Players participating in the game need to allocate their positions in the team more reasonably, More challenging team collaboration and CQB knowledge.

3. System introduction
AI Threat Level System
The Suspect will be classified into three levels of threat based on different Mission
- Low threat: The suspects have low attack desire and weak combat ability, and players need to follow Standard ROE
- Medium Threat: The suspect has a strong desire to attack, with moderate or high combat ability. In most cases, players need to follow the ROE, But in the event of potential threats players are authorized to use of Deadly Force
- High Threat: The suspect equipped with RPG or Grenade Launchers and Suicide Vests, Authorized to use deadly force at any time
Players need to determine the suspect's threat level based on the information provided in the briefing:
- Ordinary type suspects are classified as low threat (such as gang members, bank robbers, or other conventional suspects)
- Having received professional training (such as mercenaries, veterans/active duty soldiers, Mafia, army dealers, drug dealers) is listed as a medium threat level
- In addition to possessing high-risk weapons, suspects in certain special levels are also listed as high threat (such as PLP members on the map "Carlyle", the mission of taking the Russian President Stomas hostage)
Note: Due to the mixed use of CharacterTypes and Spawngroup on unofficial maps, this threatlevel system is not applicable to other unofficial maps
ROE System
- Standard ROE:
Basically consistent with other SWAT4MOD and vanilla games, You can usually only use deadly force against suspects who hold firearms and engage in aiming behavior or confirmed shooting, Otherwise, you will be punished according to standard procedures. Meanwhile, you cannot use methods such as taser stinger melee, etc. against civilians either

Armor and Dynamic Damage System
In FRTE, armor is divided into three types of plates (Kevlar, steel, ceramic), and there are levels of ballistic protection and bullet penetration
Example:
- The protection level of the steel plate is level 3, and the penetration level of the AP Ammo is level 4. Therefore, in such a situation, the steel plate cannot provide protection for the AP Ammo, and it will be directly penetrated, causing full damage
- The ceramic plate has a level 4 ballistic protection, so the first shot of the Ammo type with a ballistic penetration level below level 4 will be completely blocked without causing any damage, and then the durability of the armor will be reduced. When the durability of the armor is below 100%, it will provide damage reduction protection to the player. The lower the durability of the armor, the lower the damage reduction effect, until 0%, then the plate completely loses its protective effect.
The damage system is similar to FR, and the health status HUD will present a Resident Evil like electrocardiogram. In addition to displaying the player's injured area, it will also display the player's current approximate health value in electrocardiogram color and four text states (Wounded, Caution, Caution!!, Danger)
4. Game Mode introduction
FRTE provides players with two game modes, Classic Mode like Vanilla and Terrorist Hunt like Raid in Ready or Not. You can find the mode change BAT in the MOD main directory and use it to switch game modes. The main menu will display your current game mode, which can be used to confirm what mode you are currently playing.
Terroist Hunt
The Terrorist Hunt mode is an additional new mode provided by our FRTE. In this mode, there is no ROE, and the mission goal is only to Bringing order to chaos (neutralizing all suspects). Players do not need to collect evidence, report, or rescue civilian. The game automatically ends when the mission goal is completed.
Changes in this mode
- Added M67 frag grenade to replace Maglite (default in game to press J key to equip this item)
- C2 does not need to read seconds in this mode, and can be triggered immediately by pressing the remote control
ROE on Terrorist Hunt Mode
Reward item:

HOW TO INSTALL
Place the “SEF-FR Tactical Edition”folder in the SWAT4 root directory, and you can start the game using Launch SEF.bat in the “SEF-FR Tactical Edition”folder or LaunchSEF.exe in the “SEF-FR Tactical Edition/Extra” folder
