ProjectDamocles 0.55a
Demo 23 commentsThe initial 0.55 Alpha release of Project Damocles
When worlds collide, the resulting abomination will consume the galaxy.
In its wake is Project Damocles, a merge mod of Sins of the Prophets and Dawn of the Reapers, that combines the massive scale and blistering pace of Halo with the nuance of Mass Effect. Ravage the galaxy as the Reapers, gain unexpected allies as the UNSC or conquer new forms of heresy as the Covenant: all factions present in both mods will be accounted for.
All Credit for the original assets goes to the Sins of the Prophets team (Chokepoint Games) and the Dawn of the Reapers team (Prolific Interactive). Turian skull logo by Meken
Special thanks to Unikraken, Lord_Set, and especially Harbinger, without whom this work would still be in its infancy.

How hard is it to make a mod like this?
Both more and less difficult than just making a total conversion of your own. The upside is that all the art assets are ready to go, the downside is that you had to integrate all the coding to use the power scaling / mechanics of whatever mod you want to choose as a base.
I cant get the manifest files to unzip but the folder do..any idea why?
Are you following the install instructions / using using 7zip or Winrar?
Hay man just wanted to say, This mod is a lot of fun. Sucks you lost the permissions to continue this mod, would have loved to seen more factions added in the future, oh well still gonna enjoy this mod
Cheers, man! I had fun developing this and I still look back fondly on this project.

I still play this and love it. I'm wondering though... is there a way to get the dead ships to clear? they just float forever and it makes things messy. I've dabbled in the scripting a little bit just modifying stats. Don't know anything beyond that.
They should be clearing on their own- I haven't modified the debris in any way from "vanilla" SotP. I'll poke around and see if their duration was somehow upped.
Are ther plans for newer versions?
We lost permissions to go forward with further public releases, unfortunately. This mod will likely be a bit dormant until SotP 2 and the remastered DotR comes out anyways. I'll be around though.

this really sucks especially because this mod is now unplayable. literally crashes and breaks everytime i play.
Not sure what to tell you about that- it's still working just fine for me. Might want to redownload and review the installation steps again.
This sucks...
