Authored by DeeZire, the creator of Tiberium DeeZire and the immensely popular Red alert 2 DeeZire modifications, and now managed by No Life Studios, Pro:Gen continues a tradition of multiplayer enhancements for the Command & Conquer series of games exclusively on the PC platform, and once again brings together a unique blend of new features and game enhancements with faithful interpretations of unused features and concepts whilst remaining true to the spirit and storyline of the original game.

Amongst the new features available are extended system optimization and game options allowing greater control over visual performance and detail level settings allowing you to get more from the games looks, over 300 separate tweaks, changes and enhancements to the original game including additional audio/visual effects and gameplay improvements and fixes to inherent gameplay issues and bugs to remove those annoying aspects of playing the original game.

The enhancement has been designed to add to the depth, appeal and longevity of Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour through the sum of a large number of small changes as well as elevating gameplay by delivering greater strategic possibilities thus augmenting players ability to defeat their enemies as well as collaborate with their allies.

Pro:Gen is freeware and was available exclusively from Deezire.net, but is now available in ModDB! Visit this page for the latest Pro:Gen news and downloads!

DeeZire is the author of several highly acclaimed multiplayer maps and modifications, most notably for the Command and Conquer series. His last project, Red alert 2 DeeZire, has recorded over 400,000 downloads to date (115,000 since Dec 2002) and was prominently featured in PC Gamer USA (June 2001) as well as many other magazines and cover CDs worldwide.

Pro:Gen is back!

Hello, it's me again, Zeke, here to announce on behalf of the No Life Studios team, that we have received permission to maintain the Pro:Gen ModDB page!

What is Pro:Gen you ask? Pro:Gen is one of the first big enhancement mods for Zero Hour created by DeeZire

Rather than adding a lot of new units, the mod adds "enhances" each faction by adding subtle but noticeable improvements, such as bringing back some content cut from the original game, to provide a fresh new experience, while keeping things true to the original.

Aside from various game enhancements, Pro:Gen is known for its expanded General's Challenge and Campaign, wish is sure to challenge and excite players.

The Pro:Gen "Director's Cut" campaign, includes missions from both Generals and Zero Hour, and even some missions that weren't included in the base game, for a total of 39 missions!

The General's Challenge has been extended so that you now fight all of the other Generals, including Fai and Juhziz who previously didn't have Challenge maps in Zero Hour, and you will fight a unique boss general depending on the faction you choose.

These new boss generals are also playable in skirmish 👍

Along with v2.6 for ZH, we also included v1.9 for Generals

v1.9 adds various enhancements and even new subfactions to Generals, each with a unique set of units, specialties, and support powers.

Atm, we have no plans to update the mods, the purpose of reviving the page is mostly for mod preservation, and to give people an easier way to find the mod.

To this end we are also working to get the mod added to GenLauncher, so look out for that 👍

That's all from me, go download the mod and have fun general 😎

I am very happy you are maintaining one of my favorite Command and Conquer modifications. I learned computer programming from reading the Pro:Gen's INI files back in 2004. I was a junior in high school. I have four favorite generals in this mod: the bosses and Townes. In my opinion they're the best.
I write Generals faction summaries and draw their tech trees in MS paint. I also analyze mods and the cool stuff fans give them. If I buy my own computer, I want to join a modding team and help out.

If I may suggest something for future updates to this mod, perhaps maybe the mod's code could be updated to fix whatever bugs, messes and outdated stuff remain. Kind of like, ProGen with updated coding and fixes from the NProject Mod. Also, updates to the AI if necessary, and also AI for Ironside and Mohmar if possible.

I don't really plan on further updating this mod, the main purpose of this page is to serve as an archive, but if there is enough public outcry over one, or a few, specific game breaking issue, then I will consider making a patch for it.

That said, we have our own projects like NProject, and we will be prioritizing updating those mods first
