Remember to download soundtracks separately. Check for available patches before playing the game, or download them manually.
Mental Omega 3.3.0
This release includes:
- A complete new faction: The Foehn Revolt
- CnCNet5 compatibility for multiplayer services
- 12 new subfactions with their own unique sets of units
- 52 new single player missions, including a campaign for Yuri
- 28 new cooperative maps for 2 players
- new skirmish/multiplayer maps, around 500 total
- new skirmish/multiplayer game modes, 14 total
- updated visuals & audio
- a new soundtrack, unique for each side (separate download)
To make Mental Omega (3.3.0) work on your computer, follow these instructions:
DO NOT INSTALL 3.3 WHERE 3.0 IS! They're incompatible!
1. Mental Omega 3.3 is not a standalone mod but it does not require a CD to be played.
However, it requires the following files from C&C Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge, patched to version 1.001:
- BINKW32.dll
- BLOWFISH.dll
- gamemd.exe (patched to version 1.001, from original CD, The First Decade or The Ultimate Collection release, if any other gamemd.exe file is used Ares DLL will not be injected and game won't start)
- ra2.mix
- ra2md.mix
- language.mix
- langmd.mix
2. Either unpack all the contents of Mental Omega 3.3 archive to the location
of your Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge installation, or copy the game's directory,
rename it and unpack all the contents in the copied one.
Make sure no other modifications are installed in the directory where Mental Omega will be.
You can also simply create an empty directory, copy the files listed above to it
and extract the contents of Mental Omega 3.3 archive to the newly created directory.
The following is advised if you are playing Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge multiplayer on CnCNet:
DO NOT extract Mental Omega 3.3 files to the folder where CnCNet for Yuri's Revenge is installed.
3. If you have downloaded Mental Omega music, extract thememo.mix to the mod's location.
4. Run MentalOmegaClient.exe, configure the settings and play solo or multiplayer on CnCNet.

First one (thx for the super mod ;) ) and second one: I get the "***FATAL***String Manager failed to initilaized properly, if i try to start a mission or skirmish.
What operating system are you on? Did you place mod files to where the require Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge 1.001 files are? Did you try setting gamemd.exe and Syringe.exe compatibility mode to XP SP3 and to 'Run as administrator'?
The com mode not but the needed files are in the mod folder. My specs: i7 4790k, 16 gb ram, gtx 980, msi z97 gaming 7 and windows 10.
Update: the client.exe need also the changes to xp sp2 and admin rights (because i got without it the message, that i need higher rights etc).
Try them then.
You might need to get an original copy from Origin either from The First Decade or Ultimate Collection.
I had that problem previously when I downloaded a false copy, then deleted it and tested it with the Ultimate Collection one, now it works just fine.
@Guest it is the original one (i bought the ultimate collection edition).
one question for @Speeder: is it normal, that i can´t save (for me it is not possible)? or it only working in missions?

What kind of crash and when? If the game lags for you, try changing the renderer in the Options and/or BackBuffer.

Question, is it possible to play original RA2 soundtrack with the mod?
As said in the description of the soundtrack file, no.
For some reason, appearently it's saying MO cilent is a harmful application and I have done the right steps and all.
Edit:- It's resolved.
Add the folder MO's and Red Alert 2 is in to your Exclusion List in your antivirus.
the client works but can't even run a skirmish solo game.
Appearently now it's saying
"Error Launching Syringe.exe, please check your anti-virus isn't blocking CNCNET, you can also run as adminstator"
^ I have already done that and nothing seems to be blocking it :/
The antivirus most likely removed Syringe.exe and you have to install the mod again.

Tried that. Didn't work.
I got the same error after fixing a previous error i had (i changed gamemd.exe and Syringe.exe compatibility mode to XP SP3 and to *Run as administrator*) then this message came up. My antivirus was not the issue and it got fixed by simply doing *Run as administrator* to mental omega client exe. aswell. Tried that?

Hi, When playing a mission if i try to pause the game by pressing ESC the screen goes black and becomes unresponsive. Can anyone offer any help with this?
What's your operating system? Try using different renderers. You can change them in Options -> Display tab.
Intel i5 laptop, windows 10, GeForce GTX 950M graphics card. Missions will only start using the back buffer and TS-DDRAW renderer. Any other renderer causes the game to crash. Thanks
