I looked online to see which game engines are out there that are compatible with making a mobile game application. The big players seem to be Unreal and Unity and of course there's positives and negatives to using either. Ultimately, I decided to go with Unity. I had to do a lot of YouTube watching just to get a sense of how things work in that program and I liked that it was open source. I started very simply by making a bunch of different planes and arranging them in an order, then tacking on a texture to them. This would make it look like a dojo with enough space to have a player with multiple attackers. I also added a few assets (more on that later) Here's my first draft.
