No, I have the same problem, before there was just no texture of the weapon, now there is an error when starting the save.

I noticed some weird things.
Classic VSS in first person uses 20 round mag, in third person it have 10 and when i equip some scope (PSO. IP29 etc) i can see only blue PSO scope on it. Then there is Vintorez ALT, in third person it have 10 round mag, and in first person 20 round mag. Imgur.com
And i notice some weird think, that your AK reanimations especially AK74-AK74M, also changes texture on AK74-AK74M from BAS

There are no textures, I tried everything, even reinstalled BaS and DLTX, dug into files, nothing changed even after the third patch. The game doesn't crash, the weapons just have blue textures.
I noticed an interesting bug. If I enter some locations (for example: a bunker on Radar, an X-16 laboratory, etc.) with a VSSM weapon in my hands, then I am thrown back to the location from which I came.
I can be teleported to a new location, even if I am 20 meters from the entrance. If you hide the weapon, this bug will not occur.
I play on the Gamma build. The latest version of this mod is installed.
P.S.: Will the teleport bug with VSSM in hands be fixed? I like this mod, I like VSSM, but this teleport bug that prevents me from playing and enjoying this weapon normally.

IWP is only supported for DX11 users, it's the same for COC
