The year is 1899. Wealthy industrialist Oswald Mandus awakes in his bed, wracked with fever and haunted by dreams of a dark and hellish engine. Tortured by visions of a disastrous expedition to Mexico, broken on the failing dreams of an industrial utopia, wracked with guilt and tropical disease, he wakes into a nightmare. The house is silent, the ground beneath him shaking at the will of some infernal machine: all he knows is that his children are in grave peril, and it is up to him to save them.

Step back into the horror. Like The Dark Descent, this is a game driven by its story, exploration of the world and the constant fear of the unknown. You can expect classic Amnesia gameplay, physics interaction and the signature blend of high-end gaming with low system requirements.

Think you understand fear? Think again. A Machine for Pigs takes both the world of Amnesia and the technology of The Dark Descent to new heights of horror. Built using an updated version of HPL2 engine, the game features stunning visual and environment design, incredible music and audio effects and adapted artificial intelligence. These are all driven by a gut-wrenching, blood-curdling new story, set sixty years after the events of the original game.

Non Omnis Moriar had special anniversaries this year. The mod itself was released 8 years ago, while the source game itself just turned 10. Feels weird just to list these.

To celebrate the occasion, I've been revisiting my AMFP content throughout the entire year, and it took a long process to get it to a point where I can call it released and done:

- Non Omnis Moriar reached 1.4 stage with two major updates regarding story and structure. Other than final bugfixes (if any) I can now call it final. Worry not, for old walkthroughs still apply most of the time!

- My AMFP asset pack released its first (and possibly final) major update (1.1) that brought its features to the Steam Workshop as well, alongside Full Conversion additions for both editions. It also features a demo version of Non Omnis to showcase the assets and the changed gameplay features in action, on TDD.

Amnesia The Dark Descent Screens

Get them both on Moddb or Steam!

Happy (late) holidays, and have a good AMFP celebration, as the New Year await us!

This was a big disappointment after the first. They were so proud of their story that they forgot the "game" part.

Just like with "Penumbra: Requiem", totally different approach to the game. Cannot say liked it or not but definitely it was an experience!

The Chinese Room are excellent story-tellers and are adept at creating immersive environments and tying it together with great ambiance and music. However, the Gameplay was somewhat lacking as seems to be the general consensus. I look forward to future releases!

You can't make mods for this game. Although people are making machine for pig mods for the original Amnesia. If someone could port over the maps and features from this game to TDD, then it would be possible to do that.
