that is perfect mod
This mod is, most definitely, one of the worst HL2 mods I've ever played. And I've played A LOT.
Before I start, the game took effort to install. I had to extract whole HL2EP2 into the mod folder. "But steampipe blah blah blah" then update the bloody mod.
Firstly, the game has nasty head bobbing and shaking. It's optional but still jarring until you find out how to disable it. Because it's not in the usual settings menu, it has a separate one.
Secondly, the game's melee system (and crowbar) does work only in a certain distance range. I would understand if what they did was just shortening the range, but it doesn't work when you're too close either for stupidly enough. That makes melee combat a nightmare, especially when dealing with headcrabs.
Another aspect is the gunplay. The game is horribly unbalanced. Every enemy, from headcrabs to vorts, is a bullet sponge. Also, when you deal damage, their attacks don't be cancelled, not even once. So you almost always get damage.
Storywise, it is pretty good. The ending gave me chills. Level design is questionable, but it looks good. Story and visuals are the reason my rating is 1.
Overall, it is playable, but hella annoying.
